It's a special day. An international holiday. The day of Remembrance, a Veteran's day of sorts. Today is scorch day where we remember our forefather's sage advice. "The earth is yours, and the fruits thereof." "Be fruitful and multiply". And our forefather's and their forefather's agreed and felt it was good. Even when babies were born mutilated, when fish couldn't be eaten because they'd blow up on the grill, this was good advice.

Leaving miniscule rivers wherever I turn
soft pattering never ceases
icy streams escape
running down my back
hugging every curve
as a lover would-

dripping ringlets surround my face
totally void of my daily paint
save for a dark halo about each eye
a singular trail of damp footprints
lead to my bed
where I lie
loving looking at my world
in a tender blur
skin unnaturally soft

I went to the Cleveland Botanical Garden the other day. If you live in the area or are visiting Cleveland, I highly highly highly recommend it. I came out with over 300 beautiful pictures, 4 hours after I went in. They have two indoor biome glass houses, in which they release butterflies that are gorgeous and exotic, as well as about 15 outdoor gardens of different themes.
I've emerged from my shell after the long Cleveland winter, and may have a few gems to post.. so hopefully I'll be posting some stuff soon. Keep a look out!

So, now that dA doesn't have an awful theme, I'm more likely to be on here often.
I've been borrowing my friend's Nikon D40, and I hope to get my own in the next few months.
Updates to come soon.
Thank you for your comment and fave. I appreciate it when 'advanced critique encouraged' is followed. "good job", "awful work", etc. are meaningless to my personal development. Maybe that's the rant not included earlier.
In short, thank you for your depth and meaningful look at my stuff.
